     Riversong engages children's natural sense of wonder and thirst for knowledge. Our carefully prepared environment is enriched with traditional Montessori materials naturally infused with creative expression, eco-literacy, community, and respect for all.

 

     At Riversong, children are presented individual and small group lessons from Montessori trained teachers in the areas of Language, Math, Sensorial, Geography, Cultural Studies and Practical Life. They absorb ideas and facts joyfully, directed by their own inner energies without effort or pressure from the teacher. This free and "unconscious" learning (that Maria Montessori perceived in the young child a century ago!) corroborates with current early education studies that emphasize the importance of self-directed exploration for the very young child.

 

     Equally important to the Riversong curriculum is our commitment to positive social impact. By instituting sustainable practices and fostering connections with our culturally diverse, artistic community children can develop into thoughtful confident citizens.
